Six ECC Institutions Earn NCAA Diversity In Athletics Awards

The NCAA and Texas A&M’s Laboratory for Diversity in Sport announced recipients of the 2008 Diversity in Athletics Awards this week. Six ECC Colleges and Universities were included among the honorees.

The C.W. Post women’s lacrosse team advanced to the NCAA Championship title game for the second straight year with a 9-4 win over Adelphi University in the semifinals Thursday afternoon at Memorial Park.

Dowling's Wallace Named Softball Regional Player Of Year, 11 ECC Students Honored

Dowling outfielder Taras Wallace has been named the Daktronics Northeast Region Softball Player of the Year following a vote by the region's Sports Information Directors. Wallace headlined 11 ECC student-athletes who earned accolades.
