ECC and Make-A-Wish
The NCAA and Make-A-Wish
Continuing its longstanding commitment to philanthropy,
The NCAA Division II has established a partnership with the
Make-A-Wish Foundation in January 2003.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee driven national fundraiser continues to flourish with each year reaching record breaking totals. Last year Division II SAACs around the nation raised a total of $359,187.73 for the cause. They not only toped their lofty goal of $300,000, but also exceeded the 2007-08 record of $316,958.
To date, the NCAA Division II has donate more than $1 million to the foundation.
The ECC and
Make-A-Wish
Donating to the Make-A-Wish Foundation has been a main focus
of the East Coast Conference SAAC. Last year, the ECC had a
record setting year, raising $27,875.07 for the Foundation to rank
second among all DII Conferences.
This year, the SAAC has set two goals for the conference. First, is to have 100% participation with all eight institutions contributing to the cause. Second, is to raise a minimum of $20,000.
