Welcome to the ECC S.A.A.C. Website
Welcome to the East Coast Conference Student-Athlete Advisory
Committee website! My name is Lincoln Nembhard Jr. I am a
junior at Molloy College where I serve as the President of the
S.A.A.C. I am also honored to be serving as the President of
the ECC S.A.A.C.
The ECC S.A.A.C is a committee made up of student-athletes from our eight institutions who work collectively and institutionally to enhance the student-athlete experience and welfare, to promote a positive student-athlete image, and to achieve the goals of the Conference. The S.A.A.C. provides a medium for student-athletes to voice their opinions, concerns, and ideas. We as a conference discuss these topics and try to deal with them on conference level and even bring them to the attention of the national S.A.A.C.
The mission of our conference S.A.A.C is to encourage and continue student-athlete involvement within their communities and campuses, develop true student-athlete leaders, embrace diversity, establish a positive game environment and contribute to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Division II charity of choice.
The ECC has been one of the top contributors to the Make-A-Wish Foundation out of all the conferences in Division II and we plan to continue our efforts to be one of the top contributors. We are also committed to hosting and participating in community service and community engagement projects that allow us to make a difference in the community as well as build student-athlete leaders.
For the 2009-2010 academic year, the ECC has initiated its RESPECT Campaign as a means to encourage and improve sportsmanship at our athletic events. The purpose of this campaign is to create a positive game environment by demanding sportsmanship from the fans as much as we demand it from our athletes. The community is very important to the ECC and we realize that bad sportsmanship at our athletic events can deter the people we attract through community engagement. We just want to make a positive impression on all the fans who attend our events.
Thank you for taking time to visit the website. Explore and Enjoy!
