Player of the Week

Greg Cerar, C.W. Post (Jr., A, Farmingdale, N.Y. / Farmingdale) - Scored a career-high nine goals (new program in game record) and had two assists in a 15-14 overtime victory over Adelphi including the tying score with 18 seconds left in regulation.

Goalkeeper of the Week

Jason LaShomb, Mercyhurst (Jr., GK, Rush, N.Y. / Aquinas) - Led the Lakers to an ECC win over Molloy, 9-8. making 11 saves and pulling in seven groundballs. He also helped limit Molloy to 1-of-7 on man-up opportunities.

ECC Notebook

ECC: In this week's USILA Division II national top 10 poll (4/7), five of the seven ECC programs are in the national rankings. NYIT remains No. 2, C.W. Post remained No. 4, Dowling remains No.5, Adelphi moved up one spot to No. 7, and Mercyhurst remained No. 10.

NYIT: Junior Keith Henderson scored a career-high nine goals in the Bears 18-10 win over Drew University on Saturday. Sophomore Matt Sullivan added two goals and a season-high six assists as the bears improved to 9-0

Dowling
: Dowling had an off week and will host a pair of games this week, Wednesday against Briarcliffe and Saturday against Molloy.

C.W. Post: The Pioneers won their lone game of the week, against conference rival Adelphi, taking the game by a 15-14 count in overtime.  Junior standout Greg Cerar scored a career and program-high nine goals, also adding two assists.  He scored a goal with 18 seconds remaining to tie the score at 14-14 and force overtime, setting the stage for Dave Loftus to score the game-winner with 1:45 left in the sudden-death overtime period.  Head coach John Jez and the Pioneers trek to Erie, Pa., to take on Mercyhurst next Saturday, April 12, for a noon game.

Adelphi: The Panthers pushed C.W. Post to the edge, holding a two goal lead with less than two minutes left in the game before falling in overtime. Sophomore Ian Kuchta kept the Panthers in a tight game with C.W. Post, scoring a team-high seven goals, including three of Adelphi's last six goals. Kuchta was also efficient, scoring on seven of his eight shots he took.

Molloy: The Lions went 0-2 for the week with a 13-7 non-conference loss to Pace and a 9-8 conference loss to Mercyhurst.  Jeffrey Flandina recorded four goals, while Keith Galante notched three goals and three assists.  Rob Humann made 28 saves in net for the Lions.
