Concordia Favored In ECC Men’s Tennis Preseason Poll

Central Islip, N.Y. - Defending ECC Regular Season and Tournament Champion Concordia College has been chosen as preseason favorites in the East Coast Conference men's tennis poll as voted upon by the conference coaches.

The Clippers, coached by Neil Tarangioli, posted a 5-0 ECC mark on the way to an 18-3 overall record in 2007.

Concordia earned 36 points and all six first place votes topping Mercy College, which garnered 30 points.

The remainder of the field included Adelphi University (19), Dowling College (18), Queens College (17) and Saint Thomas Aquinas College (6).

Concordia, Mercy, Dowling and Queens all qualified for last year's NCAA tournament.
