Concordia and Queens Earn Spots on National Poll

Skillman, NJ - Both the Concordia College and Queens College men's tennis teams were ranked nationally in the latest ITA Poll released in November. 

The Clippers crack the top ten with #8 national ranking while coming out on top of the East Region Poll.  They hold two singles national spots with Alex Grubin at #2, who also ranks first in the region, and Andrew Boldarev at #44, who is second in the region.  Grubin teams with Richard Malobicky to rank fourth in the country in doubles while leading the region's doubles pairs.  Malobicky is slotted third in the region in singles play with teammates Henning Ruenz and Karim Belhadj at fourth and seventh respectively.  Boldarev and Ruenz also claim a #2 ranking in East Region doubles and the Galatioto/Belhadj duo are tied at #10 in the region.

The Knights claim a #43 national ranking with a #2 ranking in the East Region.  Fabio Minami (#5) and David Burstein (#8) are ranked in singles and partner for a fifth ranking in doubles play.

Dowling College holds a #6 ranking in the region.  They currently rank two regional singles competitors with Peter Grishchenko at #10 and Saulo Gonzales at #12, and claim the #3 spot in doubles play when the two team up.

The Mercy College Mavericks are ranked 8th in the East Region.  Mehdi Rhazali is sixth in the singles rankings while Zeke Tukel is currently ranked 15th.  Tukel also earns a spot on the Doubles rankings (#9) with partner Timon Prosper.

Adelphi University rounds out the East Coast Conference representation with a #10 regional ranking.
