Queens Stopped By No. 17 Concordia In NCAA East Region Final

Flushing, N.Y. - The Queens College men's tennis team fell to Concordia 5-0 Tuesday afternoon in its NCAA East Region 1 Final matchup.  The Clippers jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles before capturing the first two points in singles.

In pairs, the No. 1 tandem of Sharvill Nawghre and Roman Laga fell to Jui Mao and Ofir Ginat 8-4.  In No. 2 doubles, Gabriel Mendez and Lucas Martinez fell to Rafael Ferreira and Alessandro Evangelisti 8-2.  In third doubles, Luca Corigliano and Lorenzo Montegiorgi topped Ryan Frankel and Federico Toscano 8-3.  In singles, Nawghre fell to Mao 6-1, 6-1 in No. 1 before a 6-2, 6-3 win for Ferreira over Laga at No .4 singles closed the match.
