Starkville, Miss. - The Dowling College softball team comes in at No. 9, while the C.W. Post Pioneers come in at No. 25 in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s Division II National Poll released on Wednesday.

Dowling falls two spots in the poll after dropping two games in the ECC Softball Championship last week to bring their record to 42-6 on the season. Despite the losses, the Golden Lions will host the NCAA Softball East Regional 1 and take on Merrimack in the upcoming NCAA Division II Tournament.

C.W. Post also drops, falling three spots to No. 25 after going two and out at the ECC Softball Championship.  The Pioneers (36-14) also were selected as hosts for the NCAA Softball East Regional 2 where they will take on New Haven.

ECC Softball Champion, Molloy, narrowly missed out on making the poll, being included among the teams receiving votes.
