
Baden Player of the Week
Justyna Michon, Dowling (Sr., OH, Katowice, Poland) - Led the Golden Lions in the three games of the ECC Tournament. She hit .478 on the week, connecting for 34 kills and earned the title of ECC Tournament MVP. She nailed a match high 24 kills against the Chargers in the finals to help Dowling claim their fourth consecutive ECC Title.
Baden Rookie of the Week
Erin Przybylowicz, Dowling (Fr., S, Ridley Park, Pa.) - Dished off 136 assists in Dowling's three ECC Tournament matches this week to average 12.36 assists per game and help the Golden Lions to the ECC Post Season title. She tallied a week high 53 assist against UNH in the finals.
ECC Notebook
Dowling: The Golden Lions claimed their fourth consecutive conference title after defeating #8 Molloy 3-0, #4 CW Post 3-1 and #3 New Haven 3-1. Dowling allowed the Lions only no more than 12 points in two out of the three games in the Quarterfinals. Patrycja Klekotka led Dowling, hitting .391 with 13 kills and five digs. Kyla Muela connected on 10 of her 15 attempts to hit .600 on the day. Dowling gave up the second game against CW Post in the Semifinals, but rallied back to 30-22, 30-21. Again Klekotka led the way as she slammed 16 tallies to hit .467 on the day. Marina Markovic and Muela hit into the double digits, with 12 and 11 kills respectively. UNH put up a fight against the Golden Lions as each game started with a point for point battle. The Chargers claimed a 30-25 second game win, but again Dowling rallied back to claim the match and the title. Michon was the heavy hitter on the day to steal MVP honors as she connected for 24 kills. Klekota pitched in with 11 kills and 18 digs, while Jessica Gall led the defense with 24 scoops. : The Panthers will make their first ever appearance in the NCAA Division II tournament on November 15 when they play second seed Bryant. Adelphi's school record 27 wins secured the Panthers the seventh seed in the regional. In addition to a school record for wins Adelphi also set a school record with 11 wins in a row. Senior Lauren Flanagan helped Adelphi to a 1-1 record on the week, posting 21 kills and 10 total blocks. She also had a hitting percentage of .289 to go along with one service ace and six digs.
