The C. W. Post Pioneers, the reigning national champions, remain on top of the IWLCA/Under Armour National Division II Poll, as announced by the IWLCA today (Apr 22).
The Pioneers took six of the first-place votes to rank above Limestone, who moved closer to the top spot after picking up two more first-place votes but remained at No. 2 with three first-place votes. Adelphi stayed at No. 3 while No. 4 West Chester picked up a first-place vote. The same 10 schools remained in the poll from the previous three weeks, while Belmont Abbey rejoined the top-10, tying with Southern New Hampshire for the last post in the rankings.
The Pioneers are joined in the top-10 by conference rivals Adelphi, who comes in at No. 3, and New Haven, who stayed at No. 9. The PSAC claims two schools, No. 4 West Chester and No. 6 Lock Haven. The Northeast-10 also has two schools with both No. 6 Stonehill and No. 10 Southern New Hampshire. The Conference Carolinas are represented by No. 2 Limestone and No. 10 Belmont Abbey. Mercyhurst and Gannon round out the poll at No. 7 and No. 8, respectively.
The No. 2 Lady Saints meet No. 8 Gannon in a neutral site game on Saturday. On Sunday the No. 5 Skyhawks travel to face top-ranked C. W. Post in a key north region game.
