Bridgeport Places Three on Womens Soccer Academic All-District Teams

Central Islip, NY - Junior forward Sofia Hoflin was named to the 2008 Women's Soccer Academic All-District First Team presented by ESPN The Magazine and CoSIDA. Teammates Rakel Hinriksdottir and Emma Woolley garnered Second and Third Team honors respectively.
Hoflin, a graphic design major from Ostersund, Sweden, currently holds a 3.83 grade point average. She is second on the team with 13 goals and 31 points and has dished out 5 assists.
Sophomore and fellow graphic design major, Hinriksdottir, is a Second Team recipient with a 3.97 GPA. A native of Akureyi, Iceland, she has pitched in with two goals and two assists while remaining a crucial part of the Purple Knights defense.
Woolley earns Third Team honors with a 3.46 GPA in general studies. The junior midfielder broke the University of Bridgeport's all-time career assist record this year as she currently totals 30 career assists. This season, Woolley is second on the team with six assists and third on the team with five goals.
