Men's Athlete of the Week

Evans Kegan, NYIT (So., El Doret, Kenya) - Captured the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship, winning the race by seven seconds in 31:56.9 and helping NYIT to a fourth place finish.

Men's Rookie of the Week

Ryan Pezzulo, Adelphi (Fr., Ballston Spa  N.Y.  / Burnt Hills) - Pezzulo was Adelphi's second finisher across the line at the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional, he was also the first ECC rookie to finish. Pezzulo placed 27th overall in a time of 34:14 in his first collegiate 10K.
 

Women's Athlete of the Week

Ify Anene, Adelphi (Jr., Reynoldsburg, Ohio / Reynoldsburg) -  Anene placed fourth overall at the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional, earning her first trip to the NCAA Division II National Championship meet. Anene's time of 23:06 was just three seconds off of third place and made her the highest ECC finisher in the meet.

Women's Rookie of the Week

Allison O'Leary, C.W. Post (Fr., Holbrook, N.Y.) - Was the highest finishing rookie at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship, placing 47th with a time of 25:33.6. 

ECC Notebook

ECC: NYIT was the highest men's team finished at the NCAA Northeast Regional held at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y. this past weekend. Adelphi placed sixth, New Haven placed seventh, St. Thomas Aquinas was 11th, Dowling was 15th, Molloy was 18th, and Mercy was 19th ... On the women's side, Adelphi placed fourth, New Haven was ninth, CW post was 14th, NYIT was 15th, Molloy was 16th, and St. Thomas Aquinas was 18th.
