The East Coast Conference Hall of Fame was created to honor those who have made significant contributions to the conference. The ECC will accept nominees in the following five categories:

1. Student-Athlete
2. Coach
3. Administrator/Official/Supervisor
4. General Contributor 
5. Special Acheivement

All nominees must have competed or contributed to the conference since its inception as the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC) in 1989-90. Other criteria to be eligible for nomination include:

1. Student-Athletes
a. Five years must have elapsed since the student-athlete last played in the conference.
b. Must have competed at least two seasons in a conference sponsored sport.
c. Must have graduated or left member institution in good standing 
d. The student-athlete must have playing accomplishments worthy of consideration (ex: All-American, All-Region, All-Conference, Conference Player of the Year, Individual Conference Champion)

2. Coaches
a. Three years must have elapsed since the coach last coached in the conference
b. Must have coached at least six seasons in a conference sponsored sport
c. The coach must have coaching accomplishments worthy of consideration (ex: Conference Coach of the Year, Conference Championship, Regional Championship, National Championship)

3. Administrators/Officials/Supervisors
a. Three years must have elapsed since the nominee last contributed to the conference
b. Must have at least six years of service within the conference
c. Must have made significant contributions to the conference

4. General Contributor (ex: Sports Writer, Athletic Department Volunteer)
a. A nominee who did not compete athletically or was not employed by the conference or a member institution's athletic department who had a significant impact but does not meet the criteria of the other nomination categories.  

5. Special Achievement
a. A nominee who participated in an ECC sponsored sport or worked for an ECC member institution but does not meet other nomination criteria and has made notable achievements in their professional and/or athletic career after their association with the conference.
b. Exceptional service while enrolled or working at an ECC institution (ex: President of SAAC, spearheaded community service efforts, student government, etc.) may also be considered under the Special Achievement category.
c. Five years must have elapsed since the nominee last played/coached/worked in the conference.


Nomination forms must be completed in full to be considered by the Hall of Fame Committee.
