Over the next few weeks, fans of the East Coast Conference will be able to vote on their favorite play from the 2017-18 season!
Student-athletes from each of the ECC's 10 member schools and two associate members comprise the bracket of 38 plays that are eligible for the conference's Play of the Year. The plays up for consideration were either a Play of the Week winner during the season or was selected by the conference office to complete the bracket. The bracket pairings were selected at random.
Fans can place their votes on polls available on the ECC's Twitter account at @ECCSports. Fans can also watch clips of the nominees and vote through the embedded tweets below so get your votes in to decide who will win the 2017-18 ECC Play of the Year!
Round One - Amy Trabert (Daemen track & field) vs. Portia McIntosh (NYIT volleyball)
Amy Trabert - Trabert crosses the finish line first in the 10,000m run at the ECC Outdoor Track & Field Championship
Portia McIntosh - McIntosh comes up with a diving dig in an NYIT win over Chestnut Hill
Round One - Alex Hasiotis (Daemen women's bowling) vs. Jonathan Rico (NYIT men's soccer)
Alex Hasiotis - Hasiotis picks up a spare by converting a tough 3-5-6-7-10 split at the Medaille Invitational
Jonathan Rico - Rico makes the save with his legs off a header from free kick against Caldwell
Round One - Nicolette Vucak (Franklin Pierce women's bowling) vs. Shannon Donovan (NYIT women's lacrosse)
Nicolette Vucak - Vucak picks up the spare with a nice bounce from the pins in the final of the ECC Championship against Lincoln Memorial
Shannon Donovan - Donovan grabs up the rebound of her free position shot and scoops the ball into the back of the cage for a goal against Mercy
Round One - Deion Hamilton (Daemen men's basketball) vs. Luis Cartagena (NYIT men's basketball)
Deion Hamilton - Hamilton makes a nifty eurostep move on a driving layup vs. Bridgeport
Luis Cartagena - Cartagena crosses up his defender and drives to the basket for a layup vs. Concordia
Round One - Alberto Alonso Marchan (NYIT men's soccer) vs. Andrew Zito (NYIT men's lacrosse)
Alberto Alonso Marchan - Marchan converts a sliding goal one second before halftime in a tie against Wilmington
Andrew Zito - Zito converts a sliding goal from his knees in a season opening win over Mercyhurst.
Round One - Gabriel Torres (Dist. Columbia men's soccer) vs. Tiffany Verni (NYIT volleyball)
Gabriel Torres - Torres blasts the ball to the upper left corner on a set piece off a corner kick against LIU Post.
Tiffany Verni - Verni sends home a huge kill in a win over Mercy.
