West Babylon, N.Y. - On Friday morning, East Coast Conference Commissioner, Dr. Robert Dranoff, announced a three year corporate partnership with Bob McCloskey Insurance. As part of the partnership, BMI will become the "Official Student and Athletic Accident Claims Administrator" for the ECC.
In addition, BMI will fund an annual postgraduate scholarship of $2,000 for one male and one female ECC student-athlete. Details on criteria and how to apply for the scholarship will be released at a later date.
"Thanks go to Bob McCloskey Insurance for partnering with the ECC on this amazing postgraduate scholarship opportunity for our student-athletes, a first for this conference," said Dranoff. " We continually focus on excellence in the community, classroom and playing field and these new grants are a great way for us to recognize student-athlete achievement."
“Thank you to Commissioner Robert Dranoff and everyone at the East Coast Conference for the opportunity for Bob McCloskey Insurance to formalize this partnership and extend its long standing relationship with ECC and its member institutions," remarked Pete Ginnegar, Senior Vice President at BMI. "The BMI/ECC post graduate scholarships epitomizes the philosophic and academic mission of the East Coast Conference in its support of its great student athletes.”
Dranoff also added, "We look forward to working with everyone at BMI and especially Queens College Hall of Famer, Pete Ginnegar (class of 1980), to help provide valuable information and services to our member institutions."
