Roberts Wesleyan Women and St. Thomas Aquinas Men Win ECC Indoor Track & Field Titles

Staten Island, N.Y. - The Roberts Wesleyan women and St. Thomas Aquinas men won East Coast Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Friday evening.

The Roberts women won the meet for the fourth straight year while St. Thomas Aquinas' victory was the first in program history.

Both squads dominated the meet with Roberts topping runner-up Georgian Court by a margin of 147-87, while STAC also beat Georgian Court by a final tally of 169-119. On the men's side, the Spartans were victorious in seven of the 18 scored events and had seven others where they were the runner-up.

St. Jacob Diodonet was the top performer for St. Thomas Aquinas. Diodonet won three individual events, the 60m (6.89), 200m (21.83), and 400m (48.66), and also helped the 4x400m relay team to a first place finish in a time of 3:22.07, as well.
